A PayPal Business Opportunity

A PayPal Business Opportunity might be just the ticket for full or part-income. Just about everyone has heard of PayPal. What most people haven’t heard of, however, are the PayPal Business Opportunities available online. Millions of subscribers use PayPal on a regular basis. Merchants stand to benefit the most from using PayPal, as it will save them expenses on payment acceptance and increase their available customer base.

With this in mind, you stand to profit from PayPal’s unparalleled success. Every small business, particularly those with online businesses, will have to decide what types of payment they will accept for their products and services. When you start looking into merchant services, it can get expensive very quickly, both in time and money.

Depending on what type of merchant services vendors sign up for, will depend on the type of credit cards or debit cards they will be able to accept. This limits a merchant to specific card acceptance, and therefore can limit sales. PayPal for small businesses is ideal because you pay only for the transactions you accept. This makes accepting a myriad of payment methods inexpensive and profitable. This gives you a perfect opening for making money with a PayPal business opportunity.

Another benefit for merchants you refer with your PayPal business opportunity is that there is no membership fee, no minimum requirements and no long-term commitments. Merchants pay a per-transaction fee that allows complete flexibility and can be added to their bottom line on a per sale basis. This will also help them track expenses and makes the booking a little easier. With all of the benefits of this service, it is easy to see how referrals to PayPal would be a simple way to make money online.

GETTING STARTED

FAQs
Who is a Freelancer?
The word “freelance” comes from the old English concept of Knights-for-hire, but in our present day it refers to anyone in the service of more than one employer. A Freelancer can be a Self-employed person offering services to number of industries vis-à-vis accounting, web or business writings, design, software development, coaching, data entry, administrative support, researching, etc.

You may need to look out for two or three companies willing to hire you as a freelancer. There are few good ones but start by going through this accredited firm – see below

What Personality Traits and Skills should a Freelancer Possess?
It is important that you be – or quickly learn to become – confident, adventurous, flexible, organized and able to work without supervision. As a freelance business owner, you also must be a good manager, bookkeeper, and a promoter. You’ll have to be able to “Multitask”. That is, be capable of handling a number of diverse projects each with different deadlines, for your employers.

Is Working from Home as Wonderful as it’s portrayed?
Yes and No. Well yes, because it offers convenience, minimal startup cost, and comfort. A low overhead, no commuting hassles and putting up your own hours of work are addition to the plusses. On the contrary ‘No’, because there’s only you – and if you are not disciplined at your work, you’ll spend valuable time with the kids, relaxing, watching TV or visiting with friends. This can be a sure way to failure for any freelance business owner.

What Sort of Funding is required to Jumpstart a Home Freelance Business?
The rule of thumb here is that you aim at starting small and be cash-flow conscious. Generally, a budget of between $500 and $1,500 should get you adequately started as an online freelancer working from home. You’ll need the following:

a. A computer with good internet connection.
b. A printer and day to day office stationeries.
c. A comfortable chair and an office table.
d. An online domiciliary account.
e. A telephone set
f. Reserved fund to provide for, at least, your 2 to 3 months upkeep.

You may have to make a list and plan a reasonably modest budget beforehand. You don’t want to blow your entire savings on setting up your home office, then having nothing to utilize and live on before attracting business.

GETTING IT DONE

Making the move to online freelancing requires you draw the line that separates business and personal life since both would be under the same roof. Afterward, follow these simple but effective steps:

1. Develop a Simple Business Plan. Even if you’ve lined up a client or two, it will plot your first year’s sales goal and activity. Not only will your business plan help you clarify your business purpose and prepare well for the tricky startup phase, it’s also essential if you plan to borrow money in the future.

Use as your starting point your vision of where you might want to be in five years time, so you can show in your plan how you’d start to move toward that point.

2. Market and Promote your freelance business. Whether or not your freelance business is in the industry you’ve had experience with or not, you will need to build list of employers or companies you would like to work for. From experience, it’s better and less risky to work through globally accredited third party freelance exchange company. One of such that I have joined can be obtain on request. And another am yet to take advantage of because of their monthly fee is Gofreelance. Utilize sales letters, excerpted articles, emails to potential clients, personal net-working forums, free web traffic offers and importantly, submit your proposal via the freelance exchange companies you choose to work from.

3. Focus on Customer Service. Becoming a very profitable freelancer is largely a matter of time and it is far better to keep a client happy than to spend the same amount of time finding another one. Hence, being prompt and delivering a professional product or services for the proposed budget are the cornerstone of a successful freelance business.

4. Work at having more than One Client. Get used to the idea of losing clients and gaining new ones; it’s part of the nature of the business. To protect your freelance home business, work at having 3 – 5 clients every new month and ensure that you always keep on good terms with them so that they’ll want to ‘use your services’ other times.

All you’ll need for now is to set your ball rolling! Should you require more detail about freelance exchange companies that will earn you tons of cash while building your home business you might want to check them by getting across to me.

Follow Up Business Opportunities

One of the simplest yet most overlooked business development opportunities is identifying the Ahaa! moment. This might happen at a Networking event or in the course of general business. The Kintish Business Development Skills Training series of articles addresses this issue with simple easy to use tips and techniques.

Consider the scenario of a business networking event. These are superb sources of leads and referrals that can be the life blood of your business. The business skills you develop in this arena can easily be applied in any business scenario. Assume you have engaged in conversation with a good potential contact. Once you have created a positive first impression start the interesting chat about various areas of common ground. By careful listening, you may identify an opportunity to do some business to your mutual benefit at some later date. You are looking for the moment when someone says something to you to make you think, “Ahaa, there’s a potential business opportunity here.” Suppose you are a business development consultant who specialises in the food industry and who has a good track record in helping companies to increase their margins. If you were asking all the right questions such as “So how you finding things at the moment?”, and you hear the answer “We’re doing reasonably well but we don’t seem to be getting the efficiencies in the factory.” That is an Ahaa moment.

Can I mention again, that networking using business development skills isn’t selling; it’s building business relationships, and gathering business information?

This should be the start of the follow up business development process which is as follows

1. Ask for their business card and read it carefully.

2. Always find something to comment on; maybe the spelling of their name or perhaps they have their business in a particular part of town which you know intimately. It doesn’t matter as long as you show them that you are interested in them, their business and their circumstances.

3. Now this is a key moment. Ask if you can phone them next Wednesday or Thursday to discuss the problem they have with their margins. You can say something like “Now isn’t the time or place, but maybe your problem is a simple issue which I can give you some help on”. The chances are if you have made the right impression, the answer will be “yes”.

4. Bear in mind all the time that if you don’t ask the question then you don’t give the other person, with the business opportunity, a chance to say yes.. You will be at your most popular at this juncture. If you have done it all right, are you really going to waste a great opportunity? Not every business event and not every person you meet is going to turn into a business opportunity but if you are awake alive and alert, listening attentively and with empathy… you just never know.

5. Write down on their business card the day you have agreed to call and let them see you do this. This shows that you are serious and the chances are you’re likely to do it. At this point, there is no reason whatsoever not to excuse yourself in one of several ways which we will show you another time.

6. As part of the bridging process ensure that when you get back home or to your office or even before you leave the business networking event write down where and when you met the person a quick description of them and any salient facts which you may use at a future date to show them that you are truly listening to what they had to say.

7. When you make the follow up call as agreed, review the business card or refer to your business development software if you use it and confirm that they were happy for you to follow up. If you had picked up that the person was going away for weekend then make sure that one of the questions you ask is “How did the weekend go?” I’m not asking you to remember these details. What I am doing is asking you to write down some small talk facts that you gathered on their business card. It helps break down their barriers to talking about business.

When I ask my audiences “what is the most important thing with regard to business cards?” the normal answer I get is “make sure you carry plenty of them with you”. Of course you know now that the most important thing is to ask for theirs. Offer your business card by all means, but don’t be too quick to do this. I think it’s a little pushy and it’s another form of saying “aha you want to know all about me don’t you. Here’s my business card”. It just may be that they don’t want to know all about you … not at that moment anyway. There’s a lot more to say about business development training and in particular working the room but you can find out about that on my other articles.
